Establishing the Shadyside Alumni Association Website

In an effort to keep up and catch up with the way many people acquire and consume information, your Alumni Association has decided to establish this site for the benefit of graduates of Shadyside High School.

We also hope the site serves to increase the amount and likelihood of contributions to the Scholarship funds and the School Assistance Fund (Classroom fund).

Scholarships are provided for students deciding to further their education at the college and university level.

The School Assistance Fund provides grants to teachers (K - 12) for support of classroom educational materials and support to the teaching environment via the School Assistance Fund.

We hope to be providing more information than the semi-annual printed Newsletter allows, though we do envision the printed Newsletter to continue. An electronic format such as the web allow us to provide this information at a reduced cost and provide it in a more timely manner.

Any measure of success this effort provides will mostly be measured by your acceptance of this mechanism. Therefore, we ask for your feedback on features and information you would like to see added to the site.

Please note that current funding for this site was provided by an anonymous, in-kind, contribution and neither Scholarship contributions to any of the funds nor 'membership' fees (Dues) were used in establishing this site or are currently used to maintain this site.
